Zubimendi to still cost 60 million and will prioritise other leagues over Barca

However much Xavi wants him at the club, the Spaniard is going to have to forget about counting on midfielder Martin Zubimendi. "My new contract at Real Sociedad is a matter of time," he said a few days back. 

'Que T'hi Jugues' says that there is an agreement between Zubimendi and Real Sociedad for the footballer to stay at the club. His current contract expires in 2025. The player will extend his stay at Anoeta. 

In order to reach an agreement, Real Sociedad have agreed to increase the midfielder's salary. What will not vary will be his buyout clause, which will stay at 60 million euros. 

Real Sociedad are aware of the interest their player is getting at Barca and they are clear. If Barca want to get him to move to the Camp Nou, they will have to spend that amount of money, not a euro less.

In any case, the Basque side are relaxed. According to this media outlet, Zubimendi will prioritise going to other leagues which catch his eye over Barcelona.

Over in the Catalan capital, they still have their eyes on the midfielder, who they see as an ideal substitute for Sergio Busquets. They will ask for information from the player and they will try to attract him with his sporting project although right now, Zubimendi seems to be clear that he does not seem himself at Barca.
