Zubimendi on Arsenal and Barca's interest: "I didn't want to hear anything"

Martin Zubimendi was on Arsenal's shortlist a few months ago. The Spanish midfielder - and Xavi Hernandez's favourite to reinforce Barcelona's midfield - wanted to speak about his future.
The Real Sociedad player, called up by Luis de la Fuente for the Euro 2024 qualifiers in Germany, did not bite his tongue: "I told my agent that I didn't want to hear anything, especially in winter".
The midfielder did not attach importance to his "cheap" 60 million-euro termination clause: "Beyond that, when someone wants to be at a club, the termination clause doesn't matter. I think it is balanced with all the aspects of the contract, that's all.
Martin Zubimendi concluded by referring to two Norwegian rivals he knows from Real Sociedad, Martin Odegaard and Alexander Sorloth: "I have less of a relationship with Odegaard, because I only met him for a few months. With Sorloth I have a better relationship and this week, between jokes, he told me that he was going to tell his national team about our good and bad things. Well, it's all good-natured".
