Xavi calls for the signing of Koulibaly

Barcelona are reportedly keen on a Napoli player. Apparently, according to 'Catalunya Radio', Kalidou Koulibaly is the centre back wanted by Xavi Hernandez to bolster the defence ahead of next season.
Just a few days ago, there were reports in Italy that Barca wanted the 30 year-old player, whose Napoli contract expires on 30th June 2023.
That said, the Catalans will only be able to sign the Sengalese international if the Italians agree to negotiate for a reasonable price which Barcelona can afford to pay for. All of this is bearing in mind that last summer, Napoli turned down offers of 70 million euros from Man City and PSG for their player.
It is worth pointing out that Koulibaly had a great Europa League game against Barcelona at the Camp Nou, where he cut out the majority of the balls. That said, at Napoli, the Senegalese was unable to do anything because of Barca's strength in attack.
This is the former Genk player's eighth season at Napoli. In total, he has played 306 competitive matches, scored 13 goals and given nine assists. So far this season, he has made 23 competitive appearances, 16 of them in Serie A.
