Wolfsburg not happy with the ref after the Sevilla game

Wolfsburg and Sevilla drew 1-1 in the Champions League and ended up with two very different lectures of the game. Sevilla went back to Spain with the feeling that they could have scored another goal, despite their last-minute equalizer.
On the other hand, the German team, also felt like they could have done better as they awarded Sevilla with an 89th-minute penalty. Rakitic didn't miss it and equalized for the Spanish team.
Many Wolfsburg players, such as Maximilian Arnold criticizied the referee's judgement: "That decision doesn't make any sense. I don't know if they were using the VAR for the first time, if it is new for them... You can't referee like that in a Champions League game"
"Guilavogui clears the ball away. He can't make his leg magically disappear", claimed Renato Steffen, who scored the 1-0 for the German side. Mark Van Bommel also expressed his thoughts on the decision.
"Everyone agrees that that wasn't a penalty. I don't know what the referee saw there. Everyone in the stadium and watching on TV know it wasn't a penalty", claimed Wolfsburg head coach.
