"Why not dream of the treble? I'd rather win it than the Ballon d'Or"

Barcelona midfielder Pedri said on Monday that "it's complicated to recover in less than 72 hours", in reference to the five games in 12 days that the Azulgrana team faces.
"There are more and more games and the calendar is tighter. It's true that there aren't many dates to play, but you can always look for another solution. I think that, by scheduling so many matches, football loses a little bit of intensity and gameplay," said the player.
However, Pedri, who has presented "Pedri and the legend of the golden boots" - a children's story starring him - has assured that they have no choice but to "accept it and keep playing", while waiting for "those in charge to decide to change it."
The Spanish international, who has played 3,219 minutes this season, said that although it may seem "strange", he likes playing more than stopping, in a season that he is "enjoying" and in which his club are keeping alive their chances of winning the treble of titles.
"It's clear that there is always talk (of the possibility of winning all three titles), but there are still a lot of games left. Now we are at a time when everything is at stake. The most beautiful games are coming up, the ones that everyone likes to play and the ones we have to keep enjoying so that the results come out as well as possible. Why not dream of this treble?" said the midfielder.
Pedri has made his preferences very clear: "I'd rather win the treble than the Ballon d'Or, if it comes with collective titles. To be there is what you want, but I prefer to win all the titles."
The Barca midfielder was also full of praise for his team-mate Lamine Yamal, of whom he said he is "a spectacle, both in terms of how he dribbles and how he scores goals", and defended his team-mate Inigo Martinez, who was unable to play for Spain at the Nations Leagues due to knee problems.
"I think it's disrespectful to say that a player is pretending not to go. Any player wants to go to the national team, it is a dream for any athlete. Inigo is a professional both on and off the pitch", he said.
