When will the Ballon d'or finalists be announced?
'France Football' have confirmed it. The route for the next Ballon d'or is already known, so all that is left is to count down the days.
On 21st October the award candidates will be made public, as well as those who will compete for the other trophies awarded on 2nd December.
That day, at the end of next month, the Ballon d'or nominees will be announced for both the male and female categories, as well as the Kopa and Yashin trophies, which are awarded to the best young player and best goalkeeper respectively.
2nd December will be when the awards are given out, in a huge ceremony that will take place in the Chatelet theatre in Paris this year.
