What a player! Lewandowski reaches 40 goals for the season

There is no doubt: Robert Lewandowski is having the best year of his life. At least on a personal note. He just cannot stop scoring. Against Cologne with just three minutes on the clock, he netted a goal which gave him two reasons to celebrate.
One was that on just the 22nd matchday, he has now scored more Bundesliga goals than in the whole of last year's competition. Unbelievable. His powerful strike with his left foot was his 23rd goal, an average of over one goal per season.
Also, it was his 40th goal so far this season with still a few months left of the season. 36 goals for Bayern Munich and four for Poland. That makes him the first player this season to achieve this.
Of his 36 goals for Bayern, 23 have come in the Bundesliga, 10 in the Champions League and three in the German Cup.
Lewandowski is the top Bundesliga and Champions League goalscorer and Ciro Immobile is doing better than him in the Golden Shoe race.
The Pole's goal was the start of a Bayern Munich whirlwand as they were 0-3 up after just 12 minutes.
