Weston McKennie wanted by Chelsea and Liverpool

At just 21 years of age, Schalke 04 player Weston McKennie is one of the most sought-after gems in German football. According to 'The Sun', Chelsea and Liverpool, as well as other Premier League clubs, intend to sign him.

Formed in the youth categories of the German outfit, the American player has played 32 matches this season and has been one of the references of the Bundesliga side.

Schalke 04 intend to balance the books with his possible transfer and they would be willing to let him leave for a sum close to 22 million euros.

As the aforementioned media note, Everton, Newcastle, and Wolves have reportedly shown an interest in signing him, although Chelsea and Liverpool would, in principle, be at a greater advantage than their competitors.
