The Hammers are reportedly in talks with French club Lorient to sign the Ghanaian striker.

According to 'Sky Sports', the player is currently in London for talks with the Premier League side.

The 25-year-old has been at Lorient for the past two years and it is believed the club are holding out for £12m for the Ghanaian international.

The striker from the Ligue 2 club has already been the subject of interest from Premier League side Burnley but it is understood their bid of £9m was rejected.

Waris has previously played for Spartak Moscow and Trabzonspor and can play either as a striker or winger.
