"We were better but that doesn't help: all that matters is to win"

Barcelona striker Lamine Yamal, who played a spectacular match in his 100th game as a Barca player despite his youth, assured that, in the second leg, his team "will give everything" and is sure that they will go through to the Champions League final.

"We thought we could win, but now we have to think about the second leg and win," said the player from Rocafonda, who explained that he withdrew in the warm-up because he had noticed "something strange" in a shot, but eventually recovered.

"I give everything for the team. I tried to give everything, to give my all. I wanted more, we wanted to win. In the second leg, we'll give everything and I'm sure we'll go through," he said in statements to ‘Movistar’. At the end of the match, he posed with a T-shirt with the caption “100” with the rest of his teammates, but he was not happy.

"In the end, I always think about winning. For me, that's the most important thing. It didn't work out, that's why I was a little upset, but that's it, we're thinking about the second leg and we'll go for it.

Lamine Yamal, the youngest ever scorer in a European Cup semi-final, said Barcelona "will give everything" in Milan. "We're one step away from the final, we're 0-0 and, today, we were better, but that's not enough. All that matters is to win," he insisted.
