"We are being criticised and underrated at times"

Real Madrid player Lucas Vazquez was proud of the victory over Atletico Madrid in the round of 16 of the Champions League (2-2 and 2-4 on penalties), as, in his opinion, his team's performance “is being criticised and underrated at times” even though they are “in a good situation”.
“The victory shows a little bit the hunger of this team. It was a very important game because of the qualification to the quarterfinals and because the team is being criticised and underrated at times. We are in a good position in La Liga, in the quarterfinals of the Champions League and in the semifinals of the Copa del Rey. We are where we wanted to be,” he said on ‘Movistar +’.
“You have to understand everything - he added about the criticism, we are fine and we are going to fight until the end,” he completed.
“The important thing was to go through. The team in general terms we have been superior and in the end penalties are always said to be a lottery, but the team has shown the desire they had to go through,” he added.
Lucas Vazquez spoke with a hoarse voice as he celebrated the victory after a penalty shootout in which he missed his kick, but after which he “breathed a sigh of relief” with Antonio Rudiger's goal that sealed their qualification.
