On 25th July 1997, Ronaldo Nazario signed for Italian club Inter Milan for a then world record transfer fee worth 25 million pounds as they paid his release clause to Barcelona.
After having only played one season at the Camp Nou, during which he scored 47 goals in 49 appearances for the Catalan club, he moved on to the San Siro where he eventually played for four seasons. He appeared a total of 99 times for Inter, scoring 59 goals for them and making one assist.
