The Frenchman played for his boyhood club for five seasons, scoring 62 in 123 games before making his big move to Juventus where he went on to spend over a decade. He lit up Serie A, scoring 171 goals for the Old Lady.

He was also a legend for his country, making 62 caps and scoring 27 goals, most notably of course the Golden Goal to win the World Cup.
