Appearing on 'Canal Foot Club', it was on natural that Umtiti was quizzed over his future plans but he refused to be drawn into giving too much away, saying that his priority is remaining in Catalonia.

"A release clause doesn't mean much, everyone knows that. It worries me, but it doesn't interest me. I'm only interested in what happens on the pitch and enjoying my football. Barca were the club of my dreams and I realised that dream at the age of 22. It was incredible and now I'm happy every day, whether it be in training or during games," he continued.
"Xavi thinks I'm the best centre-back in the world? I heard that, I'm very grateful, he's very intelligent football. He knows about football," Umtiti ended.
