Valencia have executed the buyout clause for Hugo Duro, who after this season on loan from Getafe becomes a Valencia player until 30th June 2026.
Hugo Duro has played 36 official matches this season in which he has scored ten goals: seven of them in La Liga and three in the Copa del Rey, the last one in the final against Betis.
Bordalás was clear that he was an important addition to his project at Mestalla, and so it has been. Valencia have secured the future of a top player with just 22 years of age.
In addition, the Spanish club announced it in a special way on social networks, with the help of the narrator Miguel Angel Roman. He was the one who narrated that crazy Copa match between Valencia and Getafe at Mestalla, where Hugo Duro was the protagonist for blocking a goal by Jorge Molina.
"Play it again, Hugo," posted Valencia, with a video that soon went viral alluding to the play that was key to Valencia's qualifciation and the famous words from Humphrey Bogart's film 'Casablanca'.
