Unexpected issue between Memphis and Juventus

Memphis Depay's future is still up in the air. The FC Barcelona board needs to reduce the wage bill of the squad and everything seemed to indicate that the Dutchman would leave for Juventus.
However, in the last hours, the newspaper 'Sport' confirmed that the striker's agents could not reach an agreement with the Italian club's board and negotiations were stalled.
The 'Vecchia Signora' offered him a contract for two seasons with a salary of five million per year, plus another two million in bonuses. However, that amount would be far from Memphis' salary expectations.
Faced with this situation, Juventus have opted for their backup and are now a step away from signing Arkadiusz Milik, currently playing for Olympique Marseille, for whom they would pay two million euros to sign him on loan.
In this way, Memphis' departure was postponed. It remains to be seen if Juventus make another offer or if they definitely rule out signing him in this market. In the meantime, Depay will remain at Barça.
