Umtiti to go to Lecce on Tuesday to finalise his arrival

Samuel Umtiti could become a new Lecce player this week. The Italian side have convinced Barcelona to sign the centre-back on loan.

'Sport' explained that the Catalan giants have allowed the defender to travel to Italy on Tuesday to complete his loan move to Lecce.

Negotiations between the two clubs and the player are not closed. It was confirmed by the president of the Italian club, as Umtiti still has to pass the medical tests.

Umtiti does not count for Xavi Hernandez, who has left him out of the squad-lists at the start of La Liga. His move to Serie A is therefore very close to happening.
