Hudson-Odoi was in the limelight in the draw between Southampton and Chelsea in the Premier League because of his lack of attitude. His manager, Thomas Tuchel, introduced him at the break for the second half and took him off half an hour later because he didn't like what he was doing.
"I was not happy with his body language or his counter pressing. And that's why I had the feeling that he's not ready to give what I wanted from him", the manager explained after the match.
"In a game that it is hard to create chances you need to rely on counter pressing to maybe force errors and get an easy chance. For that you need to be totally on and sharp. I didn't feel this from Callum today. He missed chances to counter press, missed easy balls. I didn't think he felt the game. Maybe it was unfair but I didn't get the feeling today that I normally get from him", he added.
