Trent Alexander-Arnold, unmatched in assists

When talking about assists, midfielders and generous strikers come to mind, but this season the full-backs are once again dominating European football.
Trent Alexander-Arnold and his role in Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool is the perfect example. The British footballer became the league's top assist giver so far this season (17) after his sensational performance against Leicester.
At just 21 years of age, he has already earned a place among the best, and it seems that his potential can only grow. Even so, there are several players who follow him closely in the classification made by 'ProFootballDB' about the best assistants of the year in the major leagues of Europe.
Thomas Müller (16) and Jadon Sancho (16) are also performing at a superlative level, although Luis Alberto (15) and Kevin Volland (13) are also close. There is still almost half a season to go, but the fight looks fierce.
While Alexander-Arnold is leading, sixth place is held by teammate Andrew Robertson (13). Together they make Liverpool a lethal side on the flanks and give Klopp a great deal of tactical variety.
The young England full-back's performance is surprising, but it also highlights players who should be a little higher up the rankings, such as Kevin De Bruyne (12) or David Silva (12).
