The world of football can be a cruel place, just ask Jule Niles who has been reduced to living in a storage unit after falling out with her son Ainsley, who is believed to earn £30,000 per week at the Emirates.
Mrs Niles has been living in the 10ft box, located just off the M25, for three months.
Now, the 38-year-old faces being kicked out of the unit, operated by Big Yellow Storage, with living in the container in breach of the terms and conditions.
Maitland-Niles, meanwhile, shares a £700,000 flat in Finchley with his brother Cordi.
According to 'The Sun' as a childcare worker on a zero-hours contract, Jule has been unable to find a place to rent due to her irregular income.
Jule told the newcaspaper: “It’s a metal container with no windows or carpet. There is no toilet or washing facilities.
“My son Ainsley could buy me a flat with two weeks or two month’s wages. But the money’s gone to his head and I’m in this position.
“My son plays for Arsenal and I am homeless and in a storage unit. It’s not a home. I know what home feels like — to be able to shower, brush your teeth and sit in your room.
“All that I miss — but most of all I miss my family. It’s horrible. I just want to know what I’ve done wrong.”
However, the same source claims that Maitland-Niles was not aware of his mother's plight.
