Sporting Lisbon agree €5.5m deal for Levante's Kochorashvili

Levante announced Monday an agreement with Sporting Lisbon for the transfer of Georgian midfielder Giorgi Kochorashvili, who joins the Portuguese club on July 1st in a deal with a fixed fee of 5.5 million and 2 more in variables.
Several media outlets in Portugal published the official announcement made by the Portuguese club to the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM) with the figures of the operation.
Levante, in addition, keeps 12.5% of the capital gain that may be generated by a future sale of Kocho, although this may be reduced to 10%.
Kochorashvili, 25 years old and a Georgia international, will have a termination clause of 80 million euros and signs with the Portuguese side until June 2030.
The player, who will join the Portuguese club on July 1st, has played 57 games for Levante and has scored a total of 9 goals since his arrival in 2019 for the youth team. This season, the midfielder has 6 goals in 26 games and had a contract in force with Levante until June 2027.
According to Levante in a press release, both entities signed the agreement on Monday “after negotiations sped up over the weekend”. The Valencian entity did not offer figures of the deal.
Although Levante assured that the player “stays on loan” at the club until June 30th of this year, this formula as it stands could not be given officially as the transfer market is closed, both in Spain and in Portugal. In principle, it would be a sale that would be effective as of July 1st.
