Son close to signing new contract

Son's current contract at Tottenham runs until 2023, but they are delighted with him in London and they want him to stay beyond that date. 

The club have got down to the work. According to the 'Daily Star', they have offered Son a new contract and the footballer just needs to sign it. 

The proposal, the British newspaper says, has been on the table since September. After several months thinking about it, Son has finally decided to say yes. 

It is good news for Tottenham as Son is one of their key players. The same paper reports that there is uncertainity over whether he will stay at the club beyond the summer.
