Simeone: Griezmann should win Ballon d'Or

According to the Argentinian, the Frenchman should be one of the favourite candidates for winning the next Ballon D'Or. The France international played a key role as his side thrashed Sporting Gijon 5-0 and his coach believes that last year he was the best player in Europe. Due to his performances during the last months, he deserves it.

The 46-year-old admitted that the 25-year-old has been the best player since last year. "He reached the finals of both the Champions League and Euro 2016, scoring many goals, and scored many goals in La Liga too. The consistency he has makes him stronger.

"I hope he is up there for the Ballon d'Or, as he is in great form and will get even better if he continues like this".
