Sevilla, Atletico and AC Milan now know what they have to do to sign Milik. They have to put 40 million euros on the table. 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' says that the price De Laurentiis has put on his departure is 40 million. They will not negotiate if the offer is less.
This figure is an increase on his market value of 27.2 million. As his contract at the Serie A side runs until the end of next season, the board can call the shots when it comes to negotiating his departure, if it comes about. Another option is to renew his contract although the player would have to agree to that.
What his suitors could do is wait until the end of next term when they would be able to get the Pole for nothing. They may end up doing that if they do not agree to paying 40 million for him. However, they would not get him until next year.
At the moment, his numbers on the field of play also explain his high price. This campaign, he has got 12 goals in 22 matches. Last term, he netted 20 times and gave five assists in 46 appearances. It is expected that the striker is capable of getting close to or beating his records in the 2018-19 season this year.
