Osasuna made official the departure of Kike Saverio after reaching an agreement with the player to end the contract that linked both parties until June 2023. Deportivo La Coruna announced his signing for this and next season.
The player, born in Italy 23 years ago, arrived at the club in 2020 from Barcelona to join the reserve team looking for a chance to be part of the first team.
Saverio made his debut in the 2020-21 season in the Copa del Rey under Jagoba Arrasate, scoring one goal. The following season, the 21-22, he was loaned to Ponferradina in LaLiga Smartbank, where he played a prominent role in 29 league games and three Copa del Rey games. Previously he was loaned to Andorra.
However, the rupture of his Achilles tendon in May 2022 halted his progress and over the last few months he has been working at Tajonar on his recovery and fitness. He has been training with the first team for weeks now.
The Navarrese club is grateful for "the services he provided during his time at Osasuna" and wishes him "the best of luck in his future professional challenges".
In this way, Depor have signed a player with quality for free. In Pamplona he has not been able to show all the attacking potential that one day led him to sign for FC Barcelona.
