Inter Miami's new signing Lionel Messi has not yet decided when he will retire from the senior national team with which he won the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, although due to his age he admitted that "it will be soon", as he stated on the programme 'Llave a la eternidad', on Argentina's 'TV Publica' (Public TV).
" Logically, given my age, it will be soon, but I don't know exactly when that moment will come. I'm just thinking about the day to day and enjoying what we're experiencing," explained the world champion.
"I think it will happen when it has to happen, after having achieved everything in this last time, the only thing left is to enjoy and, as I always said, God will say when that moment will be," he added.
The '10' will be unveiled on Sunday at Lockhart Stadium in Florida. He will meet again with coach Gerardo Martino, who in addition to sharing his love for Newell's Old Boys, coached Messi at Barcelona (2013-2014) and the 'Albiceleste' between 2014 and 2016.
