TEAM NEWS
Real Valladolid
Valladolid, who lie in 16th, just three points above the bottom three, will still be without Luismi and winger Toni Villa who are still injured. Sergi Guardiola, who missed a penalty at Espanyol last weekend, should still start and Oscar Plano is expected to play although Keko Gontán is also an option for Sergio. It is expected the team will use with a 4-3-1-2 formation.
Real Madrid
Sergio Ramos is unavailable for selection as he is suspended. Carvajal, Vinicius and Lucas Vazquez all picked up injuries in their Champions League defeat to Ajax so Nacho and Varane are expected to play. Bale got a knock to his ankle, but should be fit and Asensio will be in the starting XI. Marcos Llorente had a groin issue and is unlikely to be risked.
MANAGERS' THOUGHTS
Sergio González
"They (Real Madrid) are a wounded lion" in reference to the fact Real Madrid have been knocked out of the Copa del Rey and Champions League in the past week as well as having lost any chance of staying in the La Liga title race. He also described tomorrow as "the worst week of the season to playh Madrid. They are a hurt team of top players with self-esteem". He also promised their side will give it their best shot against last season's Champions League winners.
Santiago Solari
"Those who have not been up to standard have been told personally." Solari stated in his press conference that is happy with the majority of his players, but that others were not. Although Real Madrid have no chance of winning the league this season, the Argentine said that they have "the professional obligation of trying to finish as high up in the table as possible." He also supported Ramos' decision to travel to Valladolid so that he can support his teammates and the club.
