Real Madrid v Las Palmas - Preview and possible lineups

Real Madrid: Zidane is taking a gamble on this match, by trialling out different players ahead of the match against Juventus next week. Real will be missing Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos, according to 'AS', who will be resting before the Champions League clash. Isco, will also potentially be missing from the squad in order to rest. Dani Carvajal will be sitting this match out due to his suspension.

According to 'Mundo Deportivo', there are several regular starters who will travel with the team, but remain on the bench until called upon. These players include Keylor Navas, Toni Kroos, Marcelo and Casemiro. Zidane is also reportedly preferring to offer Asensio more game-time opportunity.

Las Palmas:  Paco Jemez will be welcoming back Oghenekaro Etebo and Alex Galvez, and potentially even Dani Castellano. Jemez will probably opt for a defensive 4-2-3-1 formation, with strong reinforcement in the midfield. Jonathan Calleri will handle the offensive responsibility, aiming to upset Real's goalkeeper Kiko Casilla

We know that Las Palmas are having a difficult season, but they are capable of putting in a big performance, and that says a lot about their team. We have to be prepared and start strong, play with intensity and rhythm, without thinking about their position in the league because in Spain there are no small teams".

Paco Jemez, Las Palmas coach: ''A draw right now is a result that is not good for us because of our situation. We have worked well during the week with the intention of winning the match.''
