Right-back Pedro Porro has a contract at Sporting Lisbon until 2025, but everything seems to indicate that he will leave a long time before that. Many top clubs are interested in the defender.
Real Madrid, Barca, Tottenham and Juventus are interested in the Spaniard. His club have pointed buyers to his buyout clause of 45 million.
'AS' reports that Tottenham are fighting to sign him now in January. The Premier League outfit are preparing one final offer to try and persuade Sporting.
Tottenham had offered to remove the 50% they will make on Marcus Edwards being sold, which would be 30 million as the player is valued at 60 million euros. As well as that, they have offered money and a bonus to get hold of Pedro Porro. However, Sporting rejected this and said 45 million or nothing.
Real Madrid are following this situation closely. He is a defender that they like and they are following closely. Madrid are hoping Sporting keep Pedro Porro until June because that is when they could take advantage.
'AS' reports that Madrid would then be in a strong position to sign the footballer ahead of the 2023-24 season. The 23 year-old would reportedly be happy to make a step up in his career at a team like Real Madrid.
In the meantime, Pedro Porro is blocking out the noise. "I'm not talking about possibilities in the market: neither about staying nor leaving. I'm focussed on Sporting, I'm happy here," he told 'Sport TV' asked about possibly joining Tottenham.
