Barcelona are well aware of 'Financial Fair Play' rules. To sign new players, they need to drop some off their wage bill, which has been the tough task facing the offices of Camp Nou in recent weeks.
One of the club's priorities is incorporating a new midfielder, to replace Sergio Busquets. Many names have crossed the minds of Barcelona's managment, and there is one other to add to the list now.
Gerard Romero of 'Jijantes FC' reports that Barcelona was offered Juventus' Adrien Rabiot. The Frenchman is out of contract in Italy and is looking for a change of scene it seems. Anywhere he arrives, he will do so as a free agent.
His Turin team are trying to get him to renew, but that negotiation doesn't appear to be making headway. So it appears that in the last few weeks, the name of Rabiot was presented to the Catalans as an option to reinforce their midfield.
Barcelona however rejected the proposition. The Frenchman apparently doesn't fit with Xavi's plans, and the coach instead seems to favour Real Sociedad's Zubimendi or Bayern's Joshua Kimmich.
