Confirmed lineups for Liverpool v Newcastle

The 2024 Premier League action begins. Liverpool and Newcastle will play the first game of the 2024 English top flight when they meet at Anfield on Matchday 20 at 21:00 CET. 

The Reds have the chance to extend their lead at the top, as they sit top of the domestic standings level on points with second-placed Aston Villa but with a game in hand, so a win for Jurgen Klopp's side against the Magpies would move them three points clear of the pack. 

Eddie Howe's side will be looking to produce a shock win at Anfield to end a run of poor form that has seen them win just one of their last five games. The St James' Park side visit Liverpool on the back of back-to-back defeats.
