Paul Pogba to miss Serie A return to action

One season is beginning to look like another for Paul Pogba. Last season, he suffered a succession of physical problems and played just 10 games for Juventus in all competitions.

This year, the Frenchman wants to put injuries behind him, but must first continue his rehabilitation following the injury to his left thigh he sustained against Cremonese on 14th May.

In any case, the French midfielder will not be available for the Turin club's friendlies in the United States, in particular against AC Milan (Friday) and Real Madrid (2nd August).

"I don't know when Pogba will resume training with the rest of the team. I don't think I'll be able to use him in the next two matches against Milan and Real Madrid. He's hardly ever worked with us, he's making good progress, but we need to be careful because the same thing happened last year," Allegri lamented in the 'Gazzetta dello Sport' on Monday.

"It looked like everything was going well and then he stopped. When I see him run, it seems he's better, but we prefer to wait at least a month to see if he can be available for the team," he added.

The midfielder will therefore miss the start of the Serie A campaign against Udinese on 20th August. He could also miss Bologna on 26th August.
