'Nobody will stop us if we reach the quarters in Russia'

Mexico was drawn in Group F alongside defending champions Germany, South Korea and Sweden in what is anticipated to be one of the most difficult groups in the tournament.
However, Guardado remains confident of Mexico's chances of progessing and puts a lot of it down to head coach Juan Carlos Osorio.
"I have a very good feeling [about] this year, it is the year '18' and my shirt number is '18' so then why would I not think positively about it being a great year for Mexico.
"The great opportunity that I have. The possibility of doing something historic for Mexico after so many matches with the national team and after three World Cups that we have not been able to win.
He continued: "I feel that it is time to have the team, the generation, the mentality and we have talked among us, we are convinced that if we pass that fifth game (quarter-finals) then nobody will stop us".
Turning his attention to their manager, Guardado added: "Since he arrived, he made us feel that we were very good. There have been games in which we have not believed as much as him, because he believes so much in us and that we can play for you and for anybody".
