Neymar to earn more than Messi with new Barcelona contract

Neymar is now the best-paid footballer in the world after signing a new five-year deal with Barcelona, according to Marca.

The 24-year-old put pen to paper on the new deal on Friday, putting an end to the persistent rumours linking him with a move away from the Camp Nou, most notably to PSG, Manchester United and Real Madrid.

The stated source are now claiming that his new deal is worth a staggering €25m per year after tax, which sees him overtake Messi's salary of €22m.
