"Neymar? From 1 to 10 I'm at a 9.5 in terms of how tired I am"

The latest developments in the operation between Barcelona and PSG have left few positives for Neymar's signing. The Catalan club has rejected the counteroffer that has come from Paris and the return of the Brazilian almost discarded. 

One of the first questions that Ernesto Valverde was asked had to do with the subject of summer and the coach said that what he currently needs is for the market to close as soon as possible.

"It's getting long. I can't wait for that day to come so we can all rest. I don't have anything to say about Neymar because he's a player from another team and we respect our opponents. When it's over, it's over. I'm at 9.5 out of 10 in terms of tired this is making me," he said.

During the negotiations, PSG had also asked Dembele, Rakitic and Todibo, players who were mentioned during the press conference: "I'm not going to comment on Dembele. He's injured and we'll have to wait for him to recover. Rakitic is a great player and he's played a lot of games, so there's no reason to think he won't be here. It's a long season and there's room for everyone."

"We have to be above lucubrations or gossip that come out in one place or another because in the end it may or may not affect us. We have to be on top of these things. It's a little uncomfortable," Valverde continued. 

On Griezmann, Valverde hopes he continues his current progress: "If he comes into play he is decisive and that's what we want. He's been responding with the guarantees we'd hoped for". 

As for the physical situation of Messi, the Barça coach hopes he will be available for the match against Valencia and, of course, for the Champions League.

Aditionally, before the press conference started the manager took some time to send a message of encouragement to Luis Enrique after the tragic passing of his daughter Xana: "All our love, support and encouragement from all of us who are part of Barça."
