Napoli close to completing signings of Olivera and Kvaratskhelia

Because of the war in Ukraine, FIFA allowed the suspension of the contracts of foreign players in the Russian league. That allowed Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to leave Rubin Kazan and sign until the end of the season for Dinamo Batumi. Now, he could arrive at Napoli together with Mathias Olivera.
Fabrizio Romano, a journalist who specialises in transfers, reports that these two players have basically been signed by the Italian side. In fact, 'Corriere dello Sport', reports that the Georgian has spent part of his medical has been done secretly and that he will earn 1.5 million euros a season if he moves to Serie A.
Olivera has been on Napoli's radar for some time and it has been leaked that Juventus were also following him closely. That means they could beat Juventus to their man. The conditions of his contract and the final touches to the deal are still to be completed.
But the possible signing of Kvaratskhelia is the one which has caused most excitement amongst fans. They are aware of the attacker's quality and that he is just 21 and that he has shone in the Russian in recent years. However, he had to leave the country due to the conflict with Ukraine.
