Messi-Jordi Alba's brilliant combination to punish Seattle Sounders

Inter Miami settled their score with Seattle Sounders after the Rave Green crushed Javier Mascherano's team in the Leagues Cup final just two weeks ago.

Messi and company's team hosted the Sounders on matchday 30 of the MLS and claimed a convincing victory thanks to stellar performances from Leo Messi and Jordi Alba. In fact, they assisted each other so that the Spanish full-back could open the scoring with an early goal and the Argentine star could extend the lead before half-time. 

This combination between Leo Messi and Jordi Alba, which Barcelona fans enjoyed for years, was key to breaking down the Sounders' defence. Messi, after drawing defenders in on a counterattack, found Jordi Alba unmarked inside the box, allowing the Spanish full-back to beat Frei with a low cross-shot. Later, it was the former Barcelona defender who, from the left wing, delivered a pinpoint cross to the penalty spot for Messi to tap in the second goal of the night.
