Mbappé could extend his contract... But with a buyout clause

Kylian Mbappé's future seems to be closer to Paris than Madrid. The Spaniard's hopes to sign the French talent have been shattered because of the coronavirus pandemic, and it looks like the club's original plan to sign him in 2021 are up in the air.
Before this all happens, PSG could offer come in and offer him a multi-million dollar renovation that would make him forget about Real Madrid.
'AS' reported this possibility, although the source has also said that the proposal would come with a release clause, which Mbappé has specifically asked for, in order to guarantee a way out.
Such a clause, which is usual in Spain but not in France, would have a prohibitive cost, but it would give Real Madrid the freedom to sign the forward if they gather the necessary amount.
The source confirmed that Mbappé's new contract with PSG would be beneficial to all parties. The striker would be paid an amount more in line with his performance, the French club would lose its fear of him leaving and Real Madrid would have an escape route for his transfer in a few years' time.
However, the biggest loser in this whole equation is still Zinedine Zidane's team. Real Madrid were hoping to sign him and build the team around him, but football's new realities will prevent them from doing so.
