Man Utd's squad list for 2023/24 UCL opener

Manchester United will make their Champions League debut against Bayern Munich. The Old Trafford side have a list of absentees, with the latest additions of Wan-Bissaka and Maguire for the first European game.

The Red Devils have recently had many problems both on and off the pitch but especially this early season they are facing a long list of absentees: Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Varane, Shaw, Malacia, Amrabat, Mainoo, Mount, Antony, Sancho and Amad Diallo.

Bayern Munich come into the game unbeaten this season and with new signing Harry Kane on a scoring streak. Tuchel told a press conference that they will not be taken lightly by United's poor form and will go out to win the game.

Erik Ten Hag also spoke at a press conference before the match. "Things aren't always going up - and you have to deal with it. I like these situations, because now we have to handle it," said the Man Utd manager.

"At home, in the group stage, they are very strong but we are looking forward because we like a challenge and also because we trust ourselves," added Ten Hag.
