Man Utd loanee Greenwood returns to play 1 year and 8 months later

Mason Greenwood has found happiness at Getafe. His arrival at the Coliseum Pérez caused a sensation and there was eager to see him in action. Finally, the player made his debut against Osasuna.

Jose Bordalas brought on the striker in the 77th minute to replace Latasa. Some fans of the opposing team chanted "Greenwood, f*ck you" when he came on the pitch.

Chants aside, the player played the last few minutes of the La Liga matchday 5. There was not much of him, but it was useful for him to get some practice.

Greenwood had not played a game since 22nd January 2022. That is to say, a year and 8 months practically without touching the ball. On that day, the striker played the last 8 minutes of the match against West Ham that ended in a 1-0 win for his team, Manchester United.
