Man Utd and Chelsea keen on signing Thiago Alcantara

The Spanish attacking midfielder was a part of his national team's disappointing World Cup performance, although he was not a consistent presence in the team.
While he did not show his best form when he did get his chance in Russia, for his club he has put in consistently impressive performances over the last few years, helping Bayern to win 5 consecutive league titles.
The German giants currently have a huge amount of midfield players, and therefore will look to move on some of them but it does not seem that Thiago is one of the candidates to leave Bavaria this summer.
"Of course we are planning with him, it will be an interesting battle for places with nine midfielders." the club's Sporting Director Hasan Salihamidzic said to 'Suddeutsche Zeitung'.
However, a price of £62 million could be enought to prise him away, and while former team Barcelona are not thought to want to pay that much for the player, Chelsea and Man Utd could be interested.
'Red Devils' manager Jose Mourinho has already added to his midfield options with the £52 million transfer of Fred, but has told reporters that he would like two more signings in the window.
