Madrid want to renew Kroos as soon as possible

Kroos' future seems to be clear after long months without news on whether the German player intends to stay at Madrid.
According to 'Sport', Kroos will accept Madrid's renewal offer as long as Ancelotti continues considering him a key player in the starting eleven. The board are desperate and want the player to accept the offer.
The team do not want to wait until 1st January because the footballer could negotiate with a different club, even though Kroos said that he would retire as a Madrid player.
"My renewal? I am very well. I feel that I have a good form. I'm very calm and I don't even know what's going to happen. I'm going to retire here, what I don't know is when. There's nothing new."
Otherwise, Kroos could retire if he does not reach an agreement with Madrid. The midfielder has played 21 competitive matches at Madrid. He has scored one goal and provided four assists this season.
