Madrid's Modric 'looks like he's going away but he's coming back'

Real Madrid produced a stunning comeback from two goals down to beat Villarreal 3-2 on Thursday and book their place in the Spanish Cup quarter-finals.

Modric, who was not in the match because Ancelotti rested him, is likely to return to the starting line-up at San Mames. However, the midfielder has been criticised for his poor performances in recent matches.

The Croatia international was unable to continue playing in the Spanish Super Cup final against Barcelona because he was too tired.

Nevertheless, Modric does not give up and scored a great goal in the last training session before the match against Athletic. In addition, he sent a message to the fans: "The ball seems to go away, but it comes back," he said, referring to the criticism he has been receiving these days.
