"Madrid have guaranteed me that I will honour my contract"

After the painful defeat against Manchester City, Real Madrid are back in action in the domestic championship against a Valencia side that are fighting for survival. Ancelotti, in his pre-match press conference, assured that he will bring out the best he has.

"The best possible team will play. We are rested and I will bring out the best players. The rotations will be more next Wednesday," said the Italian, who sees the team ready to finish the season in the best possible way.

After what happened in Manchester, the future of the Italian coach was not entirely clear. Finally, Ancelotti himself stated that he will continue next season: "Everyone knows what my situation is, I want to finish my contract. I want to continue until 2024. The club have guaranteed me that I'm going to honour it".

Regarding the defeat to City, the man from Reggiolo said that they are hurt. "It's obvious that it's a painful elimination, but we mustn't forget that it was the semi-finals. We were close to playing in another final. Sometimes you can come up against a team that does better. We have to look ahead to the next Champions League," he said.

On the other hand, the Madrid coach revealed that he had a meeting on Friday with Florentino: "We met. The president showed his support and we spoke about what happened on Wednesday. We are moving forward with the same illusion of doing things well".
