Leonardo continues to insist on the same thing. The PSG sporting director spoke to 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' during an event for the Italian media outlet and lashed out at Real Madrid, once again, over the 'Mbappe case'. He believes that the club presided over by Florentino Perez has not behaved well in this regard.
"From Madrid they deny it, but I think that for some time now he has been doing a job to buy Mbappe as a free agent. It has been two years that they have been talking publicly about him. This must be punished," he assured.
On the future of the Frenchman, Leonardo insisted that the club's roadmap remains the same: "Our idea is to extend Kylian Mbappe's contract. Nothing has changed in our plans. Kylian is a jewel, he is incredibly perfect for PSG. Then we have Kylian, Leo, Ney.... We had never planned PSG's future without Mbappe.
Finally, the sporting director wanted to dissociate himself from the moves he attributes to 'Los Blancos' and clarified that PSG did not cross any red lines with Gianluigi Donnarumma, who arrived on a free after finishing his contract with Milan.
"We never contacted Donnarumma before June. We opened talks to sign Gianluigi once he was officially a free agent, after Maldini's announcement," the Brazilian explained.
