Luis Enrique rejected Arsenal's advances

The coach surprised many by leaving the national team for personal reasons. Due to a family tragedy, he had to put a halt to his career, but his good his recognition still stands.

His best period was at the head of Barcelona, where he reaped many good results and titles. Despite reportedly not being Messi's favourite, he earned the fans' respect through his success on the bench and it earned him a spot on the Spanish national team.

But his career was stopped in its tracks by circumstances totally beyond his control. A few months later, he has now been linked to a football team, this time in England.

Unai Emery is not getting Arsenal where the management wants them to be. Five consecutive matches without winning for the former Valencia coach have meant that the Gunners are looking for a replacement, with Luis Enrique in mind. 

ESPN' claims that the coach did get the call and rejected the offer. The reason? He's still not ready to retrain in an official competition. He doesn't have the right mindset yet, which is why he would rather stay away from the pitch a little longer.

We'll have to wait and see if the English insist on getting the Spaniard or deciding to move on and look for other options. The Premier League season continues to progress and the club will have to take a new direction to satisfy both management and fans.

The other option is clear: continue to trust Unai Emery. There are reports that the gunners intend on keeping their current coach, but Steve Gerrard has also been linked with the job. As always, we'll have to wait to find out what happens.
