Liverpool's Gomez remains a doubt for Palace

The young defender had to withdraw from the 'Three Lions' friendly againt Italy on Tuesday after hobbling off in the early stages of England's 1-0 win over the Netherlands four days earlier.

However, the extent of his injury is yet to be determined so it is unclear whether he will recover in time for Liverpool's Premier League fixture at the weekend.

If he doesn't feature in any way, it would put his participation in the 'Reds' Champions League quarter-final first leg against Manchester City on April 4 in doubt too.

It would be a big blow for Jurgen Klopp considering Gomez has made 29 appearances in all competitions so far and Liverpool will need their best defence available to contain the lively City attack.
