Liverpool fans skew Lazio's Player of the Year award

The Serie A outfit put out a tweet to ask fans to vote for their Player of the Season, with supporters asked to choose between Lucas, striker Ciro Immobile and midfielders Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Luis Alberto.

Despite Immobile having tallied up an incredible 41 goals from 47 appearances, and Milinkovic-Savic having scored 14 times and provided five assists, the accolade went to former Reds player Lucas in a landslide victory. 

The midfielder won in such spectacular fashion, having claimed 71 per cent of the vote, that the result had several people calling foul play. It seems that Liverpool fans discovered the poll and had ensured their former player emerged victorious.
