The final few hours in the transfer window are going to be frenetic. Barcelona are hoping to secure the arrival of a number '90' before Wednesday, but in order to do that, they must first complete the departure of some players.
'GOL' reports that the Barca board are optimistic with regards to the final days of the transfer window as two specific sales are at a very advanced stage. That could lead to much needed money coming in which can be used to strengthen Koeman's squad.
They are Ilaix Moriba, who is about to join RB Leipzig, and Emerson Royal, who has an agreement on the table to play for Tottenham. In the coming hours, the club are expected to announce the sales.
The striker which comes in will do so on loan for this season. The aim is to bolster Koeman's attack, as he made it clear after beating Getafe that his team need "reinforcements", but he did not know if they were going to come in.
Barcelona have time to complete the signing of a striker, something the Dutchman is very keen on. Griezmann has failed to take over from Messi and Braithwaite has yet to become the lethal striker the team needs.
The board are wearing up some names, although there is no official offer, at least until the sales are completed. Alexandre Lacazette and Luuk de Jong are being linked with a move. Whatever the situation is, the club will do everything possible to keep their coach happy.
