Kroos' return is the main novelty in Ancelotti's squad list against Sheriff

After their tie against Villarreal in La Liga, Real Madrid have their sights set on the Champions League. After beating Inter 0-1 in the first matchday of the group stage, Real Madrid will take on Sheriff Tiraspol at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Ahead of the return of the top competition to the Bernabeu, the big new addition to Carlo Ancelotti's squad list is Toni Kroos, who returns after overcoming his physical problems,

The German midfielder had been suffering from pubalgia for months, but now seems fit enough to join the Italian coach's team, who has recovered one of his mainstays in the engine room.

Along with the presence of Kroos, the highlight of the 23-man squad for the 13-time European champions is the inclusion of Luis Lopez, Miguel Gutierrez and Antonio Blanco as reserve team players.
